Here’s a really slick piece of software that I’ve been using for a while – and I bet you need it too. You can rename files quickly, safely and intelligently with this software called Metamorphose / Métamorphose.

I was using the Metamorphose 2 – beta version and it has plenty of functions for renaming hundreds or thousands of files fast and easy. Check it out:

There are just too many functions to describe.. the ones I use most are:

• insert – you can insert a prefix or suffix, add time, date or special numbering.. even mp3 info or image info
• modifications – lowercase to uppercase, remove accents, convert this to that…etc.
• replace / swap – change certain keyphrases to other words, swap one with another, etc.
• change length – change the length of files, cut short it, in front, behind, etc.
• no point telling everything, I’m sure you’ll give it a try
