End Clickjacking with NoScript Firefox Add-On

NoScript - A Firefox Browser Security Addon

NoScript - A Firefox Browser Security Addon

What is NoScript?

NoScript is a browser security addon for Mozilla based browsers such as Firefox, Flock, Seamonkey, etc.

What can NoScript do?

NoScript helps block dangerous scripts from running in your computer when you view untrusted web pages.

What kind of content does NoScript block?

It effectively blocks Java, JavaScript, Flash, Silverlight, Quicktime, PDF, plugins, CSRF/XSRF & XSS attacks, phising exploits, clickjacking popups, and dangerous scripts.

Why should I install the NoScript addon?

The Internet is no longer a safe place. There are just too many websites are out there which are trying to  fool the user. Visiting these websites can give exploiters a chance to steal personal information or take over your computer. If you want to surf the web with peace of mind, this is the addon to install.

Yahoo! CEO Jerry Yang Quits!

Bleeding purple – Jerrry Yang, CEO and founder of internet giant Yahoo! search engine portal – has decided to call it quits…. In the mean time, finding a new chief executive to run the show….

In an e-mail to all his employees, he wrote “I will always do what is right for this great company…”

Anyway here is Jerry’s email or memo to Yahoo employees:

To: all yahoos
Fr: Jerry
Subject: update

yahoos -

i wanted to address all of you on the news we’ve just announced. the board of directors and I have agreed to initiate a succession process for the ceo role of yahoo!. roy bostock, our chairman of the board, is leading the effort to identify and assess potential candidates for consideration by the full board. the board will be evaluating and considering both internal and external candidates and has retained heidrick and struggles to help in this effort.

i will be participating in the search for my successor, and i will continue as ceo until the board selects a new ceo. once a successor is named, i will return to my previous role as chief yahoo and continue to serve as a director on the board.

last june, i accepted the board’s request that i assume the ceo role to restructure and reposition the company as a whole in order to more effectively meet the fast-changing needs of both users and partners. since taking on the ceo role, i have had an ongoing dialogue with the board about succession timing. thanks in large measure to your tireless efforts, we have created a more open, competitive yahoo! and we believe the time is now right to transition to a new ceo who can take the company to the next level.

despite the external environment we face, the fact remains that yahoo! is now a significantly different company that is stronger in many ways than it was just 18 months ago. this only makes it all the more essential that we manage this opportunity to leverage the progress up to this point as effectively as possible. i strongly believe that having transformed our platform and better aligned costs and revenues, we have a unique window for the right ceo to take ownership over the next wave of mission-critical decisions facing the company.

all of you know that I have always, and will always bleed purple. i will always do what I think is right for this great company. while this step will be an adjustment for all of us, i know it’s the right one. i look forward to updating you on this process as soon as the board has developments to share, and will continue to do everything i can to make yahoo! fulfill its full potential.

thank you,
jerry

This is an earlier email in February when Microsoft launched its unsolicited US$44.6 Billion bid…

fellow yahoos:

since we talked to you this morning, there’s been a lot of media coverage and industry chatter about microsoft’s unsolicited proposal to acquire yahoo!. we know you’ve been hearing and reading a lot about this. that’s why we wanted to reach out to all of you at the end of the day to emphasize a few things that we hope will give you some more context about this proposal, the process that our board is taking, and what you can expect in the days ahead.

first, we want to emphasize that absolutely no decisions have been made–and, despite what some people have tried to suggest, there’s certainly no integration process underway. this proposal is just that–a proposal. and it was only made in the last 24 hours. you can be sure the board is going to review it thoughtfully and carefully, and do what’s right for our great company. microsoft’s proposal is one of many options that we’re evaluating in order to maximize value for our shareholders and employees over the long-term. that’s why we will respond to microsoft after our board has completed a careful review of all of our strategic alternatives.

second, we can’t let any of the noise we’re hearing around this situation distract us from our core mission. it’s critical that we continue to focus on running our business, executing our strategy and delivering value to all of our users, advertisers and publishers.

finally, we realize that this may have been a tough day for many of you, especially those on the front lines of our business. we know you have many questions, and we’re committed to making sure you’re as informed as possible as this process moves forward. in the interim, we both want to thank you for your continued energy, focus and determination. we’ll continue to share information with you as we have it and can do so.

jerry and roy bostock (our new non-executive chairman)

Lovely, thanks.I like it, but you can write better. :)I like this post a lot. Good stuff!Man, this is really good!Wow, I really love it!!! (3 votes, average: 4.00 out of 5)

How To Remove mtn5.goole.ws and popup.adv.net Popup Virus

Are you getting too many advertisement popups from mtn5.goole.ws and popup.adv.net ?

Have you tried every malware or virus removal tools and still can’t get rid of the popup virus?

Download and try this removal tool over here:

Link 1: http://www.malwareteks.com/request11.html

Link 2: http://downloads.malwareteks.com/FixIEDef.exe

This tool removes the following:
AntiSpyPro, Antivirus 2010, Files Secure, IE AntiSpyware, IE AntiVirus, IEDefender, Malware Bell, Malware Protector 2008, RichVideoCodec, Total Secure 2009, “Fake Alerts” generated by Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Delf and Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Delf from the system.

For more information, read the instructions at http://www.malwareteks.com/FixIEDef.php

After that I suggest doing this:

Additional Steps To Clean It Once And For All!
1. Click Windows menu go to Start > Run or search box
2. Type “cmd” (if you’re using Vista, just type CMD in the search box)
3. This will bring up the command or DOS window
4. Now type “ipconfig /all”
5. The command will display the configuration of your LAN card and DNS information.
6. Look under DNS Servers. It should look something like this:
0.255.122.15
85.255.112.35
85.255.112.72

These entries are the exploiter: 85.255.112.72 and 85.255.112.35 !!

( A proper DNS entry assigned by your ISP would be like this – 52.69.254.141 or 83.16.21.25 )

7. Type “ipconfig /release”
8. Then type “ipconfig /renew”
9. Then type “ipconfig /all” to view the DNS server results again.

This will work if you are directly connected to the Internet through a broadband modem.

IF you are using a Router that connects to the Internet, then you need to fix the router first before doing it for your PC. If not, the DNS entries will overwrite itself again and your entire network (if you are fixing a whole office).

Here’s How to Fix the Router and Your PC:
1. Go to the administration of your router. Usually through your web browser.
2. Set all DNS entries to zero or 0.0.0.0.
3. Do a DHCP release and renew.
4. Do the earlier cleaning steps for your PC.

It worked for me and my office and notebook. TELL me if it doesn’t work.

IF you are behind a network or at office, you may need your IT administrator to help you.

For future protection of your browser, install the NoScript Addon for Firefox.

The above steps safely removed the goole.ws and popup.adv.net from my system. Hope it removes whatever virus or trojan for you too.

Fennec – Firefox for the Mobile Phone

Fennec is the code name for Mozilla’s latest project, the Firefox browser that sits on your mobile phone. The name of the browser came from the Fennec Fox, which is a small desert fox.

The first release of the Fennec browser is now available for OS2008 software platforms and is based off the post-Firefox 3 beta 4 source code. Still in the prototype stage, Fennec is now available for trial run on the Nokia N810 Internet Tablets and desktop PCs.

What’s fancy about Fennec / Mobile Firefox browser?

  • Fun & Friendly Interface
  • Bookmarking & Tagging
  • Auto hide URL bar for maximising content
  • Built in Password Manager – comes handy
  • Device Integration Services
  • Claims to be 600% faster than Nokia’s built-in browser

Do not expect too much at the moment, but Mozilla’s Mobile Team is working hard to create intuitive and friendly user interfaces (for both touchscreens and non-touchscreens devices) that will make the future releases of Firefox Mobile / Fennec a real winner on handheld devices.

Download Fennec Alpha 1 (Prototype)

Nokia 810 | Windows | Mac OS X | Linux

Step by step instructions for installing Fennec on the Nokia N810 can be found here:
