Just try with Trojan Remover. It did remove the hidden service from my PC and the problem is gone.

You can download it at http://www.simplysup.com/

Hi! Sorry to tell you these, all those ipconfig/ bla bla and those removal tool are futile... I tried all those procedure from various sites and NOTHING happened... BUT THERE'S ONE SOLUTION I CAN OFFER! REFORMAT YOUR COMPUTER...

YES! popup.adv.net and others are malware but not related to any IPs. They came from a virus called boot.com with a resycled folder...
My mistake was i didn't took a chance to see whats written in its autorun.inf... if i could have a chance I may trace its mother virus hidden somewhere in our PC that calling those popup ads.

Hi Jonas, I almost became almost crazy with these 2 popups and tried so many things to get rid of them, but in vain.

Since I was getting these annoying popups since the last week I finally solved the thing by restoring my pc to a previous restore point dated before i started to have the trouble.

The miracle happened, no more these popups!

Hey there, this popup-thing is driving me crazy, and your otherwise excellent recipe didn't help me.

I'm getting pop-ups from those two servers specifically, "popup.adv.net" and "mtn5.goole.ws", so I was certain your method would solve it.

Info:
- I'm on a ZYXEL DSL router.
- "ipconfig /all" reveals two DNS servers, both starting with 212.242, but they're provided by my ISP and the release-renew procedure doesn't change anything there.
- I reset the ZYXEL router to default settings using the hardware RESET button, and then ran the configuration CD-ROM that come from my ISP. No change, I still get the pop-ups.

I also ran Spybot, FixIEDef and Adaware, and they found nothing.

I've been completely Adware and pop-up free since I switched to FireFox years back, so this really stresses me. I hope you can come up with a suggestion that will save me. :)

Thanks for the good work,
- Jonas
